Do I need an account to take online training classes?
Yes! Every user needs their own FFSA Online account. Create an Account
Do classes taken through FFSA qualify for Continuing Education Units (CEUs)?
Yes! All classes taken through FFSA have been approved by the Florida State Fire College for Continuing Education Units. ALL CLASSES are APPROVED for Contractor I, II, and Water-Based Inspectors. Additionally, some classes are also approved for Contractor III, IV, and V. Please see the individual course descriptions CEU information. Florida-mandated CEU requirements for Business Practices, Workers Compensation, and Workplace Safety are also available. Look for Mandatory in the title for those mandated courses. Certificates can also be submitted to NICET for approved training credits.
Does FFSA offer courses to meet the mandated Florida requirements classes?
Yes! FFSA offers classes to meet all Florida-mandated course requirements. The mandated courses are offered individually and as part of a bundle.
Where can I find the classes I have purchased?

Your purchased classes are available from your account. Log in and click the My Account link at the top right of the page. In your account, select On-Demand Training from the menu options on the left. All classes will be listed individually even if purchased as part of a package.

Please note: All classes purchased individually must be completed (with quiz) within 30 days of purchase. Classes purchased in bundles must be completed (with quiz) within 60 days. If you do not complete the class and quiz within the required time frame, you will need to purchase the class again.

Where are the classes from the training bundle I ordered?

How long do I have to take the class?

Note: Certificates for completed classes are available online as long as you have an active account.

When can I take the online class?
Online classes can be taken at your convenience, any time of day, from any location with a good internet connection.
What if I fail the quiz?
Each online class has a short quiz at the end of the video. Participants must pass the quiz prior to receiving their CEUs and certificate. Participants have four opportunities to pass the quiz. If the quiz is not passed by the fourth attempt, the participant will be required to purchase the class again and pass the quiz to receive the CEUs and certificate.
Where is my certificate?
Certificates are available for download and saving or printing in your account. To access your certificates, go to the On-Demand Training page of your account; each passed class will have a Download Certificate button.
When will my CEUs be posted to the Fire College system?

CEUs are entered into the Fire College system only during January 1 - June 30 of the renewal year. Any participant taking an online seminar outside of January 1 - June 30 of the renewal year will need submit certificate of completion. All online seminars are approved by the Fire College and qualify for CEUs toward Contractor I, II, V, or Water-Based Inspectors (refer to the individual course descriptions for qualifications).

Beginning January 1, rosters for completed online seminars will be submitted to the Fire College and should post to your account within 30 days of seminar completion.

Note: CEUs will be entered into the Fire College system only if you have provided a Student ID in your account profile. If you have not provided a Student ID, it is your responsibility to provide documentation of completion.

How do I get my Student ID?

Student IDs are issued by the Florida Fire College. If you do not have a Student ID, you will need to contact the Florida Fire College directly.

If you have a Student ID but have not entered it in your profile, you can add it in the Profile section of your account.

Note: If you update your Student ID more than 30 days after taking a class, please notify Holly Garvey at garvey@nfsa.org.

What if the video will not play?

If you are having issues with a video, try the following troubleshooting steps:

  1. Refresh the web page.
  2. Shut down and restart your web browser.
  3. Restart your computer.
If you continue to have technical issues, please contact your onsite IT representative.
