Description

This class will teach you the history of Florida’s unique fire protection permit document rules which dictate where fire protection engineering ends and where contractor shop drawings begin for fire sprinkler systems, fire alarm systems, smoke control systems, and other types of fire protection systems. Attendees will learn the specific requirements of Florida’s engineering rules located in administrative code section 61G15-32, as well as applicable sections of Florida Statues. Other topics will include common misconceptions, typical failures in the process and how to avoid them, recommended practices for all parties to enable a smooth design and permitting process, and available recourse when things go wrong.
